23 more detained in India for celebrating Pakistan’s victory

KERALA: In continuation of apparent intolerance on part of the Indian authorities after their team’s drubbing in the Champions Trophy final, Twenty-three people, who allegedly celebrated Pakistan’s victory over India, have been booked on various charges, including rioting and unlawful assembly.

Cases have been registered against Razaq, Masood, Siraj and 20 others of Kumbadaje panchayat on a complaint from a local BJP leader Rajesh Shetty, they said.

This comes a day after 15 people were arrested and charged with sedition in Madhya Pradesh for allegedly celebrating Pakistan’s victory.
