A Pakistani soldier martyred in Indian shelling from across LoC

A soldier of Pakistan Army martyred as Indian forces resort to unprovoked shelling along the Line of Control (LoC), said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

As per details, Indian forces in a recent act of ceasefire violation, targeted Thab sector of LoC, resulting in the martyrdom of sepoy, Zaheer Ahmed.

Indian guns were soon silent after getting a befitting response from the Pakistani armed forces, reads a statement issued by the military’s media wing.

The Indian forces along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary are continuously targeting the Pakistani side with heavy weapons.

In 2018, the Indian forces have carried out more than 2312 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, resulting in the killing of 35 innocent civilians, while injuring 135 others.

This unprecedented escalation in ceasefire violations by India continued from the year 2017 when the Indian forces had committed 1970 ceasefire violations.
