An accountability court (AC) on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of mega corruption references filed against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in line with the Supreme Court directive in the Panamagate case till 2 pm.

Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar appeared before the court amid tight security.

Nawaz Sharif appeared before the court for the 16th time.

The accountability court (AC) judge Muhammad Bashir resumed hearing of the three corruption references against the Sharif family.

During the proceedings, the junior lawyer told the court that Khawaja Harris, the counsel of the ex-PM Nawaz Sharif was busy in Supreme Court to which the court adjourned the hearing till 2 pm.

In today’s hearing, more witnesses will record their statements, while Khawaja Harris, the counsel of the former premier will cross-examine the witnesses.
