ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) of Islamabad Tuesday recorded three prosecution witnesses against Sharif family members in different references and summoned two others on January 3, for their statements.
AC Judge Muhammad Bashir took up three references for hearing against former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his family members filed by National Accountability Bureau.
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (Retd) Safdar appeared before the court.
During the hearing, NAB witness Yasir Shabir and Assistant Director NAB Shakeel Anjum Nagra recorded their statements in Al-Azizia Steel Mills and Avenfield property references, respectively.
Recording the statement, prosecution witness Yasir Shabir, Manager Operations of a private bank, provided bank statements of a former prime minister from Feb 12, 2010, to June 30, 2017. He said he had received the summons from NAB team through e-mail and provided details related to the bank accounts of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz to the NAB.
He also provided the details about various transactions that took place from the accounts of Maryam and the former prime minister.
