Accountability court extends Shehbaz Sharif’s transit remand

An Accountability court of the country on Wednesday has extended transit remand of Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) ShehbazSharif in Ashiana Housing corruption case.

As per the details, the decision was taken on the request of the superintendent of the Kot Lakhpat Jail who asked the accountability court to extend the remand of the president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)until the conclusion of assembly session.

On December 6, accountability court had sent ex-chief minister Punjab to Kot Lakhpat jail on a judicial remand after his previous physical remand ended.
