An accountability court in Islamabad issued non-bailable warrants of arrest on Monday against the premier’s three children and son-in-law.
Judge Muhammad Bashir issued directions to arrest and produce Maryam, Hassan, Hussain and Capt Safdar before the court on the next date of hearing. The next hearing is scheduled for October 9.
This morning Nawaz appeared before the accountability court for the second time and was likely to be indicted. However, proceedings were adjourned till next Monday.
The former premier’s children were summoned before the court for the hearing of references filed by the National Accountability Bureau. However, they were unable to appear as they are still in London tending to their mother, who is undergoing cancer treatment.
