Accountability Court resumes hearing of Avenfield reference against Sharifs

An accountability court (AC) on Wednesday resumes hearing of mega corruption references filed against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in line with the Supreme Court directive in the Panamagate case.

Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar appeared before the court amid tight security.

The accountability court (AC) judge Muhammad Bashir resumes hearing of Avenfield supplementary reference against the Sharif family.

In today’s proceedings, last NAB witness Wajid Zia, former head Joint investigation team formed by the Supreme Court to probe into the Panamagate scandal, will record his statement while the counsel of Nawaz Sharif will cross-examine the witness.
