After winning presidential elections, I will try to resolve issues under constitution: Alvi

The nominated candidate for the presidential elections by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Arif Alvi on Tuesday has vowed to resolve the issues constitutionally after winning the elections in the country.

While talking to the media on his arrival at National Assembly of Pakistan, Arif Alvi expressed hope to clinch the victory with a majority. He also announced to work jointly for Pakistan.

“I don’t want to become a silent president,” Mr Alvi added.

On the other hand, voting for presidential election started at 10 am at National Assembly, Senate and all the provincial assemblies and will continue till 4pm.

Apart from ruling party’s Alvi, the PPP’s Aitzaz Ahsan and Jamiat-e-Ulema (F) chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman are also in the presidential race.

The joint Opposition was to field a single candidate, however, no consensus had been reached on a joint Opposition nominee.
