ISLAMABAD: An election tribunal on Wednesday allowed Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz to submit his reply in the court contempt case against him by 13th June, Samaa reported.
A five member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan heard the case.
Aziz, in his defense, said that he was sad to hear about the case against him and had just received the notice.
He pleaded the tribunal to give him time to submit the reply.
“My statements are being manipulated,” the PML-N leader said.
He went on to say that he did not malign the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Speaking to media, Aziz said that that Imran Khan could not produce a single evidence to defend himself.
“Khan did not even appear in today’s hearing,” he added.
