Anti-terrorist court indicted Farooq Sattar, others in provocative speeches case

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday has indicted Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar and other party leaders in 21 cases regarding provocative speeches.

During the proceedings, MQM’s Sattar, Akhtar, Amir Khan, Khawaja Izharul Hassan, Rauf Siddiqui, Qamar Mansoor, Rehan Hashmi and others appeared before the court and pleaded innocence.

The court directed to present the witnesses and adjourned the hearing till November 10.

Earlier, ATC had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for MQM founder and other fugitives over inflammatory speeches.
