The security agencies have started clearance operation in the area after a terrorist attack at the Consulate of China in Karachi on Friday morning, ARY News reported.
As per police reports, two policemen were martyred in the attack and three assailants have been killed in the incident as security agencies have taken control of the situation. The search operation is ongoing for a fourth terrorist said to be missing and to trace any explosives in the Consulate premises and nearby area, the police officials added.
The security officials said that the assailants failed to enter the Consulate and two of them were shot dead outside the building by the rangers snipers. Nonetheless, the eyewitnesses previously said that the assailants reached the rooftop of the Consulate and launched attacks from there.
No civilian casualties were reported as per police sources and the Chinese Consul General along with whole Chinese mission remained unharmed during the incident.
