Cabinet to approve withdrawal of Nawaz, Maryam’s jail trial notification today

The federal cabinet to give the approval to withdraw the notification of the jail trail of former ousted Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz today in Al-Azizia and Flagship references.

The step was taken after the interim government’s decision to conduct the hearing of the corruption references, filed by the NAB following the decision by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the Panama Papers case, in open court.

The caretaker PM-led meeting of the federal cabinet will take a nine-point agenda into the consideration.

During the meeting, the cabinet will approve the notification issued on 13 July maintaining that Nawaz Sharif will undergo the jail trail in the corruption reference filed against him by the NAB.

The agenda of the meeting also includes the improvement of the law and order situation in the country, the salary deduction of the government’s employees for the dams’ constructions in the country and withdraw the nomination approval of OGDCL and PPL’s directors.
