Chaman: Police defuse two bombs planted outside a political leader’s house

Balochistan police on Monday defused two bombs planted outside a political leader’s residence in Chaman, police said, foiling a major attack.

Unknown miscreants had planted two bombs in the fuel tanks of two motorcycles parked outside Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) leader Haji Essa’s residence in the Guldara Baghicha area of Chaman, police said.

According to police, each of the bombs defused by the bomb disposal squad (BDS) contained 10kgs of explosive material.

Police and FC personnel had arrived in the area after residents informed police about two suspiciously parked motorcycles near the PkMAP leader’s house.

The security forces cordoned off the area in order to investigate the incident.
