Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and other judges reach Thar to review the govt’s performance

The top judge of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar and other judges of Supreme Court on Wednesday reached the drought hit region of Thar for a visit.

Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan and Justice Faisal Arab of the apex court, the Chief Justice Sindh High Court and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah were also accompanied with the chief justice of Pakistan.

The honorable judges will review the steps taken by the Sindh Government to prevent deaths of children in the desert region due to undernourishment and the diseases caused by the menace.

The authorities of the region have become active in the area to present a rosy image of the impoverished desert facing negligence of the government on the local as well as at the provincial level.

As per the reports, the dilapidated building of Civil Hospital Mithi has been renovated. The compound wall of the hospital premisesand the interior have been painted. Moreover, the required equipment have beeninstalled at the children’s ward and at the operation theatres.
