Club cricketer from Shikarpur smashes triple ton, creates history

KARACHI: Pakistani club cricketer from Shikarpur has created history by smashing unbeaten triple ton in 50 overs match at Inter-club Cricket Championship.

Opening batsman Bilal Irshad, 23, hit 9 sixes and 42 boundaries in his 320 runs off 175 balls in the on-going PCB Fazal Mehmood Inter-club Cricket Championship.

He was playing for Shaheed Alam Bux Cricket Club against Al Rehman CC in Shikarpur.

Partnered with teammate Zakir Hussain, the duo added 364 runs for the second wicket to help their team post 556 runs in 50 overs. The match was eventually won by Shaheed Alam Bux club with a 411 runs margin.

Although proper records of club cricket are not available, it is believed to be one of the top innings in the history of all forms of limited cricket in the country.

Bilal Irshad has also represented Hyderabad region in seven first-class, two T20 and one List A games.
