Contempt of court petition filed against Khawaja Saad Rafique

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has been Tuesday moved with the contempt of court petition against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique.

The petition was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Lahore former President Owais Younis. The petitioner said Khawaja Saad Rafique subjected judges and judiciary to carping criticisms in his press conference on July 30.

Calling in question the partiality of judges of Panama case bench, Khawaja had said, “The judges who took oath under the PCO are no more Sadiq-o-Amin (truthful & trustworthy),” according to the petition.
