After the Islamabad High Court rejected his bail plea on October 11, PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique approached the Lahore High Court on Monday for protective bail in the Paragon City case. He was granted interim bail till October 24.
His brother Salman was also granted bail. The court stopped NAB from arresting the two brothers.
Two judges reviewed his application seeking two-week protective bail in case an arrest warrant is issued against him. The National Accountability Bureau has summoned Rafique and his brother to its office in the Paragon Housing case hearing on October 16.
The court said that it is not stopping NAB from investigating the case or interrogating the brothers. It can call them when it pleases, said the judges.
