An interim bail of co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur has been extended by the banking court on Friday in an ongoing money laundering case till January 7.
Asif Zardari accompanied by his Sister Faryal Talpur appeared before the banking court after conclusion of previous extension in interim bail today.
The workers and senior party leaders of Pakistan People’s Party, including Rehman Malik and Khursheed Shah had converged on court premises in solidarity with their duo leaders upon prospective arrest which has been the talk of the town for a past couple of days.
But, the reality went otherwise, and both PPP leaders have been granted extension in bail dispelling the most speculated arrests.
Earlier, on Thursday during a high-level party meeting, the PPP had decided to stage a protest in case Zardari was arrested on cancellation of bail.
