Court to announce verdict on removing Zulfi Bukhari’s name from ECL today

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) to announce its verdict on Wednesday (today) on a petition filed by PM Khan’s aide Syed Zulfi Bukhariseeking removal of his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

As per the details, a two-judge bench comprising JusticeAamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani will announce the verdict today which was reserved by the Islamabad High Court on December 4.

In a petition, filed through Zulfi Bukhari’s lawyer, he had argued that his fundamental rights were being affected due to travel ban.

Zufli Bukhari was appointed the prime minister’s special assistant on overseas Pakistanis and human resource development on September 18.

At the time of his appointment, Bukhari was being investigated by the National Accountability Bureau in connection with establishing offshore companies in the British Virgin Islands.
