Cricketer Mohammad Asif, his wife and two children were injured in a road accident in Lahore in the early hours of Monday, ARY News reported.

The mishap occurred in Phase-I of Defence area when the vehicle of Muhammad Asif narrowly escaped a collision with an oncoming speeding car and hit a footpath.

Resultantly, Asif, his wife and their two children were injured. However, they were stated to be out of danger. Asif said that his vehicle rammed into the footpath in a bid to avoid a speeding car.

The injured were moved to a nearby hospital, but due to an absence of a few medical officers, they were shortly moved to Services Hospital. Doctors said all four members of the family were out of danger.
