Eid-ul- Azha is likely to be celebrated on August 22: Met office

LAHORE (PAK TIMES): Eid-ul- Adha in Pakistan is likely to fall on August 22 (Wednesday), as per the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s statement.

According to the met office, there is a high possibility of sighting the moon of Islamic month Zil-Haj on August 12. The Zil-Haj moon “will be born on Saturday afternoon” and can easily be seen until the Sunday evening, it added.

While in the Kingdom of Saudia, reports say that it is likely that the Islamic month of Zil Hajj will begin on Sunday, August 12, the first day of the 12th month on the lunar-based Islamic calendar, and August 21 the first day of Eid Al Adha.

Eid Al Adha, celebrated on every 10th day of Zil-Haj, by the all Muslims in the world around 70 days after Eid Al Fitr which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
