Election Commission to review arrangements for 2018 elections today

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) with Chief Election Commissioner retired Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza in the chair will review arrangements for the upcoming general elections today in the federal capital. 

The chief secretaries of all the provinces, additional chief secretary of FATA and chief commissioner Islamabad will attend the meeting.

The meeting will discuss a wide range of matters related to 2018 elections, which include district-wise progress report on missing facilities as indicated by the Commission, the process of procurement and installation of CCTV cameras in most sensitive polling stations, availability of complete list of officers and officials to be appointed as polling staff and law and order situation during the election process including pre-poll election campaign with special reference to the recent attack on Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal in Narowal.

Lately, the ECP has finalized and published the final delimitation of the constituencies of the national and provincial assemblies.
