Election Commission’s office surrounded by anti-PTI alliance protesters

The anti-PTI alliance staged a protest on Wednesday outside the Election Commission of Pakistan’s office against alleged rigging in the general elections 2018. The Office of election commission has been surrounded by the protestors.

The Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Awami National Party and other religious parties are protesting outside the election commission’s office in country’s capital Islamabad. The party workers are protesting, shouting their own parties’ slogans.

The authorities allowed only nine political leaders into the Red Zone Islamabad and as many as 500 police officers were deployed for the security purpose.

The leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Raja Zafarul Haq said all the political parties reject the general election results. People’s Party leader and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gillani said that they will continue their protests in the assemblies as well as outside them.

He added the Election Commission of Pakistan has become completely useless.
