Environment Day: Pakistan committed to protect environment, says PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan is mindful of its responsibilities towards protection of environment.

In his message on the World Environment Day being observed on Monday (June 5), he said we have ensured that our industrial, infrastructural and associated developmental initiatives are environment-friendly.

The prime minister said that Pakistan has already ratified the ‘Paris Agreement’ and, stands committed to collaborate in global efforts to protect the environment.

He stressed the need for a shared duty of each and every Pakistani to care for our environment, as a sacred trust, to be passed onto posterity.
