The spokesperson for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has claimed on Monday that PTI will soon complete the formation process of government in Punjab.
After top leaders of PTI convinced the independent MPAs-elect, the count for the party has escalated to 134, the required number of members is at least 140 in Punjab Assembly for form the provincial government which will be achieved by this evening, added Mr. Fawad.
He also added that the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will also meet the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan today at Bani Gala.
To form a government in Pakistan’s most populated province Punjab, as many as 149 seats are required. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured 127 in the provincial assembly in the general elections 2018 and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has secured 122 seats.
However, the number of the seats secured by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has increased as the party has successfully managed to convince the independent candidates of the Punjab Assembly for form the government.
