A medical board containing four members formed by the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) administration is examining the medical condition of former ousted Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif in the Adiala Jail today (Monday).

The four-member medical board included cardiologist Dr. Naeem Malik, Medical Specialist Dr. Shaji Siddiqui, neurologist Dr. Sohail Tanvir and Dr. Mashood will send the medical report to the inspector general of the jail after the examination process after which the decision will be taken either Nawaz Sharif would be shifted to the hospital or stay in the jail.

As per the reports, the former PM Nawaz Sharif on Sunday fell ill at the jail. Apparently, Mr. Sharif is facing multiple health problems at the same time as he is suffering from heart, glyceride, cholesterol, and diabetes.

Earlier, Dr. Azhar Kiani and Dr. Hamid Sharif Khan had requested the jail administration to shift Nawaz Sharif to the Rawalpindi Cardiology Institute after the medical examination of the former Prime Minister in the Adiala Jail.

Dr. Hassan Askari, the caretaker Chief Minister for Punjab had also held a meeting to review the requests of shifting Nawaz Sharif from the jail to the hospital.
