A girl and her fiancé were killed after girl’s uncle allegedly spotted them chatting with each other. It is the latest case of honour killing in Pakistan’s province Sindh.
The girl, Nazeeran, was chatting with her future husband, Shahid, in the village near of Gotki. When girl’s uncle spotted them chatting, he opened fire on them and killed them on spot, Express News reported.
According to the police report, the couple was cousins of each other’s and uncle killed them on the honour.
According to the report, the more Pakistani women are killed by their close family members than terrorism killed Pakistani civilians. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) stated that an average of 650 honour killings annually over the past decade.
