Police officers on Monday have launched a crackdown against miscreants for vandalizing law and order situation across the country during a protest against the acquittal of Asia Bibi by Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC).
According to security personnel, more than 200 suspects have been detained from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Karachi, Sheikhupura and Peshawar so far. Police official said that raids are being conducted countrywide to nab the rioters.
An action is also underway in Lahore where eight miscreants have been remanded in police custody for 14 days.
On the other hand, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has also initiated the process of accumulating evidence against all those involved in pillage and wanton violence during sit-ins of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
