Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar on Wednesday has continued to record statement in a response to the questionnaire given to him by accountability court in Avenfield reference.
During the hearing headed by Justice Mohammad Bashir, Captain Safdar said that he and his wife Maryam Nawaz were never the beneficial owners of London flats and that they have nothing to do with this property.
Nawaz Sharif’s sons Hassan and Hussian Nawaz are responsible for their own deeds. No one can use them against me, he added.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Sardar Muzafar expressed objections over an absence of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz after which defence lawyer said that their exemption from appearance plea has been submitted in the court.
