ISLAMABAD: Hussain Nawaz, son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, will appear before the 24th meeting of a joint investigation team (JIT) probing the money trail of London flats owned by the ruling Sharif family.
This will be Hussain Nawaz’s third straight appearance before the JIT in less than seven days. His appearance is scheduled at 11am today.
In addition, Prime Minister Sharif’s second son Hasan Nawaz has also been summoned on Friday. He will appear at 10am tomorrow.
Meantime, the court again called Chairman SECP for creating hurdles in the investigations.
On Wednesday, the JIT meeting headed by Wajid Zia was requested for exemption of PM Sharif’s sons from appearance. On this, they were given one-day time.
The investigators also put three options including video link under considerations to record statement of Qatari prince and decided to re-send him the letter for the purpose.
On Sunday, Hussain Nawaz was grilled for three hours by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) comprising financial experts, investigators and representatives from intelligence agencies.
