The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will today begin the hearing of the review petitions filed by the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (R) Safdar against the verdict by NAB court in Avenfield reference case.

A two-member bench of the IHC containing Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb will start the hearing of the petitions.

The petitioners requested the High court to annul the verdict by NAB court pertaining to their imprisonment, fine, disqualification and confiscation of Avenfield apartments.

The petitioners added that all three accused should be released on bail until the final verdict by the High court and their conviction should also be suspended temporarily.
