Pakistan all-rounder, Iftikhar Ahmed, has recently shared his thoughts after completing a rigorous fitness camp in Kakul, Abbottabad, supervised by the Pakistan Army.

In a post on his official social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Ahmed acknowledged the challenges faced during the camp, which focused on various gym and training exercises aimed at enhancing fitness standards and fostering team unity.

“The conclusion of an amazing, yet challenging camp in Kakul. A great initiative by the PCB to help raise the fitness standards and team building exercises,” Ahmed posted.

General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), is set to host an iftar gathering for the Pakistan cricket team on April 8 in Rawalpindi.

High-ranking officials from the Pakistan Army, along with Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), are also expected to receive invitations for the iftar dinner.

This change aligns with the current fitness camp, which commenced on March 26 and was initially scheduled to conclude on April 8.

With the camp wrapping up today, players will travel to Rawalpindi for the scheduled Iftar dinner.

The players will report back in Rawalpindi after Eid, as the national team is set to take on New Zealand in a five-match T20I series.

The Blackcaps will land in Islamabad on April 14 and are scheduled to play three T20Is at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium on April 18, 20, and 21. Following these matches, the teams will move to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium for the final two T20Is on April 25 and 27.
