IHC ordered administration to clear Faizabad Interchange of protesters by Saturday

ISLAMABAD: After religious parties’ continued their protest in the federal capital despite an earlier court order to call off their sit-in, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday has now ordered the Islamabad administration to clear the Faizabad Interchange of protesters by 10 am on Saturday.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui also allowed the capital administration to request Rangers or Frontier Constabulary deployment if talks with the protesting parties fail.

He was hearing a case against the religious parties’ protest filed by Colonel Inaam on Friday during the hearing of which deputy commissioner Islamabad and DIG operations appeared in the court.
