Imran Khan appeared before ATC over PTV attack case

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan appeared in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) early on Thursday in a case pertaining to attacks on PTV, Parliament House, and SSP Asmatullah Junejo as well as the violation of the Loudspeaker Act during his party’s sit-in in the federal capital in 2014.

Speaking to the media outside court, Imran asked for the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah following the revelations of the 2014 Model Town tragedy which killed 14 and injured 94. “They should be tried under terrorism charges,” he said.

Extending support to PAT chief Tahirul Qadri, he said if PAT takes to the streets for justice, PTI will join them. He encouraged the masses to read the Model Town Incident report. “Shahbaz Sharif has been exposed in the report,” he added.
