ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has challenged his non-bailable arrest warrants in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Samaa reported.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued Khan’s bailable arrest warrants in the contempt of court case. Islamabad High Court declared the arrest warrants void.
However, the commission issued non-bailable arrest warrants after he failed to appear in the court hearings many times. ECP has ordered the concerned authorities to arrest Khan and produce him before the court on 26th October.
In his petition, Khan said that Election Commission of Pakistan is misusing its powers and has violated basic human rights.
