KARACHI: Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSJ) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat said on Saturday that the Indian intelligence agency, RAW, was being operated from Afghanistan to create instability and unrest in Pakistan, ARY News reported.
While addressing passing out parade of a batch of the cadets of Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi, Gen Zubair said that RAW was working to destabilize Pakistan. “We will rout every evil design of enemy. No one should have misunderstanding about Pakistan’s capabilities to fight back,” he asserted and added peace and stability in Pakistan and Afghanistan were key for peace in the world.
“Pakistan seeks harmonious and peaceful co-existence with all countries specially our neighbouring countries. Stability, peace and security in Afghanistan was fundamental to security of Pakistan,” said Gen Zubair. “We are fully aware of threats from hostile agencies, especially RAW, but will tackle these threats through synergistic efforts.”
The CJCSJ said,“Our forces are symbol of national unity and strength, reflecting aspiration of people of Pakistan who repose full trust in singleness of our purpose, unflinching commitment and readiness to sacrifice lives for the sake of motherland.”
He said that Zarb-e-Azb was not only the army’s operation but a joint effort on the part of the entire nation to defeat terrorism. Operation Raddul Fassad, he added, aimed at eliminating terrorists and their facilitators.
