Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has on Monday threatened to resign after he was barred from entering the accountability court.
Talking to media outside the Judicial Complex, he said that Rangers is subordinate to the Ministry of Interior and is supposed to work under the command of the civil administration.
Ahsan Iqbal said that Rangers took control of the court without any formal direction due to which he came to access the situation.
Commenting on the deployment of Rangers outside the court premises, the interior minister said media and the leaders of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) whose names were included in the list were not allowed in the court.
The minister said that he could not desist from taking notice of the situation, adding that a high-level inquiry would be conducted to determine who has challenged the writ of the government and established a state within the state.
