Several journalists surrounded Nawaz Sharif in an accountability court on Tuesday to protest against the torture of a private TVchannel’s cameraman by his security guard on Monday.
The journalists and other media-related personnel, who were present in the accountability court to cover the hearing of corruption reference against Nawaz Sharif, besieged him as he arrived there.
They held a protest demonstration against the violence on the cameraman and demanded of Mr Sharif to tender an apology over the incident.
The protesting media persons and the security guards of Nawaz and lawyers also exchanged heated words during the protest.
A day earlier, the former premier’s guard tortured Syed Wajid Ali Shah, a senior cameraman of a private TV channel at the Parliament House.
