Judge LHC requested to form a larger bench to hear petition against Sharifs’ conviction

The Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) recommended forming a larger bench on Thursday to hear the petition against the verdict by the NAB court in Avenfield reference against Sharif family members.

The petitioner filed the petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against the conviction of former ousted Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar by the Accountability Court in Islamabad.

The hearing of the review petition was held at the LHC. During the hearing, the judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi forwarded the petition to the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court.

Justice Ali requested the Chief Justice LHC to form a larger bench to hear the petition against the conviction of Sharifs.
