Khan Announces to Establish Arshad Sharif Journalism University

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan announced that his government will establish a journalism university in Punjab. PTI chairman, during the long march gathering in Lahore, said that the university will be after the name of Arshad Sharif.

Khan announced this during the public speech to the people who were participating in the long march starting from Lahore on Friday.

During the address, he said that the name of the institute will be Arshad Sharif Shaheed University of Journalism (ASSUJ). On the other hand, the most popular political part of Pakistan, PTI has dedicated its long march to Arshad Sharif and the media industry of the country.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Arshad Sharif was assassinated in Kenya last week by the Kenyan Police allegedly. According to the foreign police, Arshad Sharif was killed in an alleged case of “mistaken identity”.

After the incident, the local and international organizations have rejected the claims made by Kenyan Police and asked for the independent and transparent investigation in the murder.
