In a strange case that has surfaced in Uttar Pradesh India, a teenage girl is in critical condition after a sword-wielding man cut off one of her hands allegedly because of a dispute over a mobile phone charger.
The girl has been admitted to the King George Medical College’s hospital Lucknow after also receiving multiple stab wounds at a busy marketplace in Lakheempur district, BBC reported.
The victim’s identity has not been disclosed due to certain reservations of the family. But her uncle, Sushil Kumar Trivedi – who also lodged the FIR of the incident, told BBC that she was attacked while on her way to Sushil’s house along with her mother to get her cell-phone charged.
He said that the girl lives in the city with her younger sister and her blind mother. Her brother was beaten up a few days ago by the same attacker, who had also been stalking her lately, and then was sent off to another city for work by the family. Her father, who is sick, was away at his hometown village at the time of the attack.
