Marriyum demands investigation into Ayesha Gulalai’s allegations

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former information and broadcasting Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday demanded to launch a probe into the allegations leveled by Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Gulalai.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that it’s shameful to harass women and vowed to end this culture.

Being a woman I request to stop this behavior in the society, she continued.

She said that no woman will think to join politics after seeing the character assassination of Ayesha Gulalai on national television channels and social media. She further said the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) is silent on this issue.

Earlier on Tuesday, Ayesha Gulalai alleged that the honor of PTI female members is not safe from PTI chairman Imran Khan and his gang. She said that Imran Khan sent ‘indecent’ text messages to female members of the party.

She revealed that the first message she received from Imran Khan was in October 2013 and many other female members also received those messages. She said that Imran Khan keeps Blackberry phone and asks the female members of the party to also carry Blackberry so that messages couldn’t be traced.
