Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, has said that the session of National Assembly could be summoned if 90 members of the opposite signed the requisition.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was working independently against the corrupt elements.
The NAB was taking action against those who were involved in corruption cases, he added.
The minister stated that the present government had nothing to do with NAB, adding it was prerogative of that institution to take action against the elements involved in corrupt practices. The government did not stop NAB from arresting persons involved in corruption cases, he said.
About nabbing Shehbaz Sharif, Fawad Chaudhry said it was the matter between the NAB and the former chief minister Punjab.
To a question regarding Babar Awan case on Nandipur, he said it was the project of Punjab which was not taken forward by the provincial government.
