The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government on Thursday decided to expand the federal cabinet by inducting another member. ARY News reported citing well-informed sources.

According to sources, the prime minister has decided to extend the federal cabinet and one of the government’s allies, the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) as one its leaders, Moonis Elahi is likely to get a ministry.

Moonis Elahi, son of Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi, is likely to be given the Ministry of Industries, sources privy to the development said.

The final announcement in this regard will be made next week.

It may be recalled that, with the induction of five new ministers last month on October 5, currently, the number of federal cabinet members has increased by 32.
