Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member Sindh Assembly Shazia Farooq on Tuesday tried to end her life by consuming sleeping pills after she was accused of selling vote in Senate elections.

She was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in serious condition where her condition was said to be out of danger.

The MQM leader was suffering from depression after she was accused of selling her vote after which she tried to commit suicide; however, she was shifted to hospital on time and was now out of danger.
