NAB Prosecutor requested court to send Ishaq Dar to jail

The Accountability Court Wednesday adjourned the hearing of assets case against Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar till Monday without any proceedings today (Wednesday).

Dar’s lead counsel Khawaja Haris failed to appear before the NAB court today hearing case regarding assets beyond known sources of income; hence, the hearing was adjourned without any headway.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Prosecutor requested the court to imprison the accused, adding thus, the lawyer will show up of his own accord.

It is pertinent to note here Dar’s counsel turned up to the court three hours late during the previous hearing. However, he did not appear on his sixth hearing today.

The court was told that Khawaja Haris had to go abroad all of a sudden; he will return by next Wednesday.

Dar also said Khawaja Haris was a responsible man. However, NAB prosecutor said the minister’s counsel was not committed with the case as he was not respecting the court.
