The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday started the process of declaring former finance minister Ishaq Dar a proclaimed offender.

The anti-graft watchdog ordered former finance minister Ishaq Dar to appear before the court in 10 days.

The copies of advertisements regarding declaring the former federal minister an absconder have been pasted in the court.

The process to declared Ishaq Dar an absconder will start if he failed to appear before the court.

On November 22, rejecting a plea to grant exemption from personal appearance to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and continue his trial through his representative, the accountability court initiated the process of declaring him a proclaimed offender and adjourned the case till December 24.

The court had directed to release advertisement for Dar’s summoning, while show-cause notice to Ishaq Dar’s guarantor Ahmed Ali Quddusi was also issued and ordering him to submit a reply by November 24.
