Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar have appeared in accountability court today (Tuesday) in connection with three corruption references filed against them by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
During the hearing, Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Khawaja Harris completed his arguments over plea to merge Avenfield properties, Al-Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investments references against Sharif in the light of Islamabad High Court (IHC) order which was again opposed by NAB.
Meanwhile, the court adjourned the hearing for 15 minutes while Nawaz Sharif was allowed to leave the proceeding.
Earlier on Friday, the court adjourned the hearing of NAB references against Sharif family after one hour without any proceeding. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain (r) Safdar also submitted two bonds worth Rs5 million in the court.
