ISLAMABAD: Former ousted Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) Wajid Zia on Monday appeared before the accountability court in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Flagship Investments and Al-Azizia references against Sharif family members.

During the hearing headed by Justice Malik Mohammad Arshad, Sharif family’s assistant lawyer told the accountability court that counsel Khawaja Harris is busy in the Supreme Court (SC) regarding extension in the cases’ duration.

He requested to defer the proceedings until Harris’s arrival.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Pervez Rasheed and Barrister Zafarullah have also reached the anti-corruption court.
