Owners of 50 flats in Grand Hyatt hotel identified as tax defaulters

The owners of at least 50 flats in the luxurious Grand Hyatt hotel in capital Islamabad have allegedly been identified as tax defaulters.

As per the details, the flats are worth Rs2 billion and the project’s contractor has transferred 14 flats worth 30 crore to the ownership of three of the companies owned by him and his partners.

The official documents revealed that another 40 flat owners were not even registered with the FBR.

Besides, over 12 owners have not disclosed their properties in the Grand Hyatt hotel despite living there for many years.
